Aurigan's Teton Tornado pedigree
The
second member of the corgwn is Emma. Like her big “brother”, Gannett, she’s
named after a landmark. Fortunate for her, Mark was pressing for Wyoming Oregon
Princess Roundtree – acronym WOPR. Now, you tell me, can you see us standing on
the deck yelling for “Whopper”? As Mark said, in addition to amusing the
neighbors, all the coyotes would show up for fast food!
Since even as a lass she was sort of a princess, we named her after Emma
Matilda Lake, in Grand Teton National Park; a nice, stuffy, proper little name.
As she’s grown up, the princess part hasn’t changed, but we’ve discovered
another aspect to her personality that might have made a difference in her name
had we known about it earlier. Her propensity for finding dirt or mud is almost
legendary. All hail the Mud Princess!
Her registered name is “Aurigan’s Teton Tornado” for her incredible energy. It
might also have to do with her habit of enticing Gannett to play by chasing her
tail, but that would be undignified.
Emma is our show girl. She has a nice front, good movement and wonderful
temperament. Emm has five points towards her championship. She loves to show,
so we anticipate a lot of fun on the way to her championship. And, while we’re
at it, little Miss Emm is working on agility as well. She’s got a ways to go to
catch Gannett, but her enthusiasm might just be the ticket. She has 2 legs
towards her NA title, both won at the 2003 CWCCA National Specialty.
Miss Emma had her first litter in August 2004 sired by multiple group placer CH Chaps Woodsy Brooks. We
were very pleased with the lovely puppies she produced, including our own
Della. There were 2 other nice show boys (RCR Cassidy Rides
Again and CH Chaps RCR Woodsy Sundance) who went to live with the owner of the
sire. We couldn't have asked for more out of our first litter!

Did we mention that she can fly?

So dignified, Miss Emma (and it's
hereditary, too!)
